Dancer Lucy Pearce gains Scholarship at Kings College and a place at vocational School in Scotland

Ballet First dancer Lucy Pearce has successfully auditioned and been offered places at 2 different vocational full time Schools – A Scholarship with King’s College for full time dance training and also a place at a leading Ballet School in Scotland. Lucy will be starting this next step in her career from September 2019 taking up her Scholarship at King’s College. Lucy is our 2nd dancer this year to be offered a place with a Vocational dance School. Well done!

 

Show 2019 celebrating 20 years of Ballet First

Our special celebration show this year danced by Ballet First students with a special guest appearance of professional dancer and former Ballet First student Mandy Waller, was a huge success! Male dancer Ollie Grant secures a further year on the Central Associate Pre-Senior Boys course

Ollie Grant has been offered a further place with Central School of Ballet on the Pre-Senior boys Associate course to start from September 2019. Well done!

 

Our dancers at The Royal Ballet School on the INSPIRE TO BE program

Two of our Senior dancers, Amanda Ochap and Olivia Nesbitt have taken part in the ‘Inspire to Be’ Seminar 2 for Teachers, at the Royal Ballet School, London on 12th May 2019; both dancers were given a class by Royal Ballet School teachers as part of the seminar. Both students danced extremely well and thoroughly enjoyed their day at the Royal Ballet School, returning home with a certificate for their participation. Well done!

 

Principal on the INSPIRE TO BE Seminar Royal Ballet School

Principal Theresa Crumb has already successfully completed the Teacher Training INSPIRE series 1 at the Royal Ballet School and has already completed Seminar 1 and 2 of the 2nd series – INSPIIRE TO BE, learning the new method of training for today’s young dancers. 

 

Principal to be guest speaker at Gosfield mainstream School, Braintree

Principal Theresa Crumb has been invited as a guest speaker to give an Assembly talk to Senior and Prep School students at the mainstream Gosfield School, Braintree on the merits, discipline and challenges of Classical Ballet training, in the Autumn term 2019.
